I needed a 2nd Bob light and this one fit the bill perfectly. Bob lights are much safer and more convenient than Tiki torches. Only negative is they cannot get wet. I built an enclosure around mine and leave them in the yard year round.
Everything was great with the Flaming Bob Chauvet, except they forgot to ship an imporant piece, the flame. I just opened the first of 4 I ordered for the first time and I am missing the silk material. I am hoping I can just call and they will ship out the missing item with no problems. Wish me luck.
Why not 5 stars. This is a good product for the money. I put it inside and boy does it look real. So I do have a comparison. Also, I notice that Amazon offers a replacement light kit. It is well made and well designed with good quality materials.
I realize that it needs a fan and maybe this problem can't be easily solved, but I wish it were quieter. I have an antique pot belly stove. I'm not sure if there is away to get around this, but the fan sound is a little distracting. It may not fool you into thinking it's a real fire, but it's pretty close. This replaces a similar device that I wasn't happy with. If anyone has an idea on how to quiet this down-I'm all ears.
I recommend getting this because these colored halogen bulbs are not easily found elsewhere.
Love it. Looks great and my niece warms her little hands to it. It's quiet and puts out a fire glow that draws people to it. I use it as a prop with a crackling fire cd.
